This year has seen the introduction of Student Forums which are an opportunity for students to come along and share their opinions on a range of issues affecting their time here.
Guild Life kicked off the forums with a discussion on Zero Tolerance and how it could be implemented in the Guild. University Life engaged students in a conversation about academic quality and highlighted some key areas that students are concerned about. Societies came out in force to tell us what they wanted from the Guild Building which will feed into the Guild response to the Building Consultation. Finally Liverpool Life got students talking about what they loved and hated about the city of Liverpool and identified transport, housing and employment as 3 key areas students wanted to see more work done.
With over 130 students in attendance and 28 standing for Student Council the first round of forums was a great success and we are looking forward the next round in November. However, this will only happen if YOU give us your ideas. Hopefully the first forums got you thinking about what you would like to see change in the Guild. Now it is up to tell us what that is?
Forums are starting again on the 7th November so be sure to complete the online form and send your ideas in before the next forum;
Guild Life- 7th November 5.30pm
University Life- 8th November 5.30pm
Societies Life- 14th November 5.30pm
Liverpool Life- 15th November 5.30pm
Even if you don’t have any ideas right now, come along and give feedback on other people’s ideas- make sure the Guild is working for you!
If you are unsure about what forum your idea should go to or want more information email emily.spurrell@liv.ac.uk
