Your opinions and experiences as a student feed into the University at various levels. These can range from the Guild making strategic decisions in University Committees, to student reps making changes to how your programme or course is delievered within your department.
You are represented in a variety ways and we would encourage you to represent yourself, by engaging in all of the opportunities to improve yours and your fellow students' experience at Liverpool.

| Representatives in every department, School and Faculty. Their focus is on working with departments to feedback on learning & teaching and issues affecting students that are course related. | Four full-time student representative officers. These lobby the University on academic standards, governance and the student experience, as well as governing the Guild. | These represent the first year halls student experience. They deal with everything from feedback to Accomodation Management and the University, social events within halls and liaise with the Guild. |

| Focus on improving the lives of students whilst they are studying at the University, dealing with a range of issues from accomodation, learning & teaching, to facilities and the Guild itself. This committee wants to improve NSS results to 90% overall satisafction, review the entire curriculum to reflect skills and employment needs, as well as teaching facilities and student representation. | |

Research & Knowledge Exchange |

| Looks into the research performance and business links of the University. It deals with the university position in the Russel Group (and other league tables), postgraduate research students, the research proposals coming from academics, and how well the University uses its links with businesses through its strategic partnerships. | |

Corporate Services & Facilities |

| Ensures that students are living, working, eating, drinking and learning in venues that are of a standard that reflects the University's standing - as well as being as up-to-date and sustainable as possible. It manages the University estate and assets, as well as governing the ethical and environmental agenda. | |

Internationalisation |

| Looks at International partnerships with other Universities abroad as well as how international students recruited, welcomed and integrated into the University and student life. It monitors and develops international partnerships such as XJTLU, our partner institution in China and Laureate, our online degree programme. | |
