Strategic Targets

Having successfully achieved our 2010 Environmental Performance Targets by reducing both the amount of waste to landfill and energy usage by 10%; increasing our score in Sound Impact Awards (now known as Green Impact) by nearly 20%; increasing student involvement in environmental and ethical campaigns by 10%; and increasing student involvement in the Sustainability Working Group, Liverpool Guild of Student have established their targets for 2011/2012.

The Environmental Performance Targets for 2011 are to maintain Gold standard in Green Impact Awards while increasing our overall rating from last year; decrease paper purchase by 5%; work in partnership with the University of Liverpool to raise awareness of Transition University of Liverpool; ensure optimum savings from sustainable refurbishment; and hold 3 Environmental and Ethical Working Group Meetings throughout the year with involvement from students.

LGoS are optimistic about achieving their 2011 targets and we are committed to working towards making the Guild more sustainable in its activities. To successfully accomplish this we need to educate staff and students about environmental issues as well as help them to live more sustainable lifestyles.
