Guild Awards 2010

The Guild Awards

The 2010 Guild Awards were a fanstastic success. We celebrated the contributions of students and staff to the student experience, with everyone from Societies, convenors, volunteers, course reps, tutors, administrators and senior academics recieveing one of our awards.

For the 2010 awards, we decided to develop the award structure and recognise the achievements of students and staff alike across the whole spectrum under one banner, representing the overall contribution of all award winners to the student experience.

The Guild Awards fall into three categories; the Lion, Eagle and Sphinx. “The Sphinx” was the name of the first ever publication produced by students at the University of Liverpool in 1893. It ran initially from 1893 to 1939 then re-started in 1945 until 1998. It was adopted as the logo of the Guild in 2007.
