► Governance
'Governance' refers to the manner in which something is governed or regulated, a method of management or system of regulations. So in this section you'll find the documents that define how LGoS is regulated, and the structure that carries it out. Liverpool Guild of Students is led by a Trustee Board of eight elected students and four appointed non-students. On a day-to-day basis it is run by the Chief Executive and staff team. The former sets the strategic direction - what we do - and the latter implements processes and procedures to meet it - how we do it. All this is articulated in our strategic vision for the organisation and operational strategy for achieving it, both of which can be found below. If you have any questions, please feel free to use the box at the bottom of the page to contact us. What we believe LGoS should be, our purpose and principles. The main challenges for LGoS and how we plan to address them in the coming years. Learn about the structure that manages the work of LGoS, including the Trustee Board and Student Council, and read agendas and minutes of meetings. Here you will find the documents that govern LGoS, such as the Articles of Governance, Bye Laws, and guidance and strategy. Every year we elect students to the Trustee Board, Student Council and more. Here you can find the latest information about past and forthcoming elections. Learn about the changes to our systems of governance that came into force on 1 August 2008, why we madethem, and how they will benefit you.
